Disney College Program FAQs (With thanks to Emma from Dreamitdoitdisney!)

Question: I was accepted and picked my arrival date and it lists Vista Way as my apartment complex. Do I have to live here?
Answer: No. Vista Way is where all of the CPs go for check in. Once you’re there, you will get the opportunity to choose which complex and apartment size you want. Although, there are only a certain number of each apartment size/complex available on each date so while you can have a preference, you have to be open to living in any of the complexes.
Question: Is there a gym nearby that I can go to?
Answer: Each of the complexes has a fitness center including a weight room. There are also basketball courts and tennis courts at the complexes.
Question: What’s the difference between wellness and non-wellness apartments?
Answer: Wellness apartments are for CPs under the age of 21. No alcohol is allowed in these apartments and if security/management finds any, all residents of the apartment will be termed. Non-wellness apartments are for CPs over 21. Alcohol is allowed in these apartments, however of course, those who are under 21 still can’t drink here and if you live in a non-wellness apartment and someone under 21 is caught drinking, not only will they be termed, but you will be as well. So it’s definitely worth being extremely careful when it comes to alcohol in the housing complexes. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather not risk my entire program/future with Disney for a drink.
Question: Do I have to take classes?
Answer: Of course not! Many take the collegiate courses because they’ll be able to receive credit at their university, but several program participants don’t take any of the offered classes. If you’re considering taking any of the collegiate courses, I’d check with your school to see if you can receive credit for it.
Question: What time do you get to check in?
Answer: Earlier is better but they also don’t want people lining up outside Vista Way too early. The onboarding website actually asks people not to line up before 6:45 a.m.
Question: Is it too late to request a work location?
Answer: While it never hurts to send an email or call recruiting, from what I hear, your telephone interview is the best time to request a specific location. However, it’s important to note that no request, no matter when it’s made is a guarantee.
